New Member of the Deadpool Corps Unmasked in BTS Photos
You may have noticed one member of the Deadpool Corps was far deadlier than the rest. WELSHPOOL. @PMullin7 @Wrexham_AFC #DeadpoolAndWolverine ❤️💛 pic.twitter.com/NY06jmEgwA— Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) July 29, 2024 As we eagerly anticipate the official reveal of the movie's major cameos, Ryan Reynolds has shared on social media a surprising behind-the-scenes look at a masked member of the Deadpool Corps, known as "Welshpool." Spoiler alert! Viewers of FX's Welcome To Wrexham were treated to a special Easter egg—a brief glimpse of a Deadpool Variant adorned in Wrexham AFC’s Welsh colors and dragon emblem during a pivotal scene. The character of Welshpool, as it turns out, is portrayed by none other than Wrexham AFC striker Paul Mullin. In the movie, Welshpool and the rest of the Deadpool Corps face off against Deadpool (Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). Despite Welshpool’s initial defeat, the majority of the Variants regenerate. Before another showdown ensues, "Peterpool" (Rob Delaney) intervenes, persuading the Corps to step aside and allow Wade Wilson and Logan to pursue Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin) to the time-shredder. The film has earned an R-rating from the MPAA for its "strong bloody violence and language throughout, gore, and sexual references." "Marvel Studios presents their biggest blunder to date - Deadpool & Wolverine," the new synopsis humorously states. "A disheartened Wade Wilson lives a mundane civilian life, his days as the morally ambiguous mercenary Deadpool seemingly over. When an existential threat looms over his world, Wade must reluctantly suit up once more, dragging an even more reluctant Wolverine into the fray." Joining Reynolds and Jackman in the film are returning cast members Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Rob Delaney (Peter), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), and Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio). Newcomers to the franchise include Emma Corrin (The Crown) and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession), who play a TV agent and the sinister Cassandra Nova, respectively. Shawn Levy directs Deadpool and Wolverine, with a script penned by Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. Read the full article

ICYMI: Hollywood stars mega trucks and a ping pong showdown it's the best social media from Austria
It was another action-packed weekend of racing in Austria, which saw the return of the Sprint, mixed weather conditions and a host of track limits penalties. But there was also plenty happening off-track, so check out the best social media you might have missed from Spielberg... F1 meets Hollywood There was some big news heading into the event as Alpine announced they had secured €200m of backing from investors including Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds, who co-owns Welsh football team Wrexham AFC with fellow actor Rob McElhenney. With McElhenney teasing an F1 visit, the Enstone team could not resist a reference to the popular TV series that has followed his and Reynolds’ journey at Wrexham so far. Max and Yuki take to the dirt Before any F1 cars hit the track, Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda were sent to a mine to race mega trucks. It’s fair to say the experience was a wild ride for both drivers... Steiner and Horner are the best of friends Friday’s Team Principals’ press conference brought plenty of serious questions and answers, but there was still time for some banter between Haas’s Guenther Steiner and Red Bull counterpart Christian Horner, who got up close and personal on the sofa. Leclerc and Sainz (try) to suit up It proved to be a competitive weekend for Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz with the upgraded SF-23. But first, they had to put their helmets and race suits on... Hulkenberg never tyres of banter Ever wondered where F1 tyres go at the end of the race? Not on Kevin Magnussen’s road car, as the Dane joked in the paddock, much to team mate Nico Hulkenberg’s amusement. Russell goes up against the boss We recently saw George Russell take on Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton in a high-stakes game of ping pong, but who would be his next challenger? Step forward team boss Toto Wolff. The big weekend debate With the rain coming and going, and temperatures rising and dropping, there were some split strategies when it came to shorts and trousers across the three days of running... Piastri’s priceless reaction There was an unfortunate moment for a jet pack performer ahead of the race, with gravity winning out and a tumble ensuing. As TV cameras cut to Oscar Piastri, there was only one face he could pull... Wolff fires up the Austrian crowd In addition to some ping pong with Russell, Wolff enjoyed his appearance at the F1 fan forum, where he reignited some Mercedes vs Red Bull rivalry on the latter’s home soil. via Formula 1 News https://www.formula1.com

Ryan Reynolds turned up unannounced at a Wrexham pub on Friday night with none other than Channing Tatum in tow, as the Hollywood pair arrive just in time for Wrexham's League One showdown against Cambridge United tonight. The Canadian-American actor, co-owner of Wrexham AFC with Rob McElhenney, has played a pivotal role in the club's remarkable journey from the National League to League One since they took over in 2021. Attention around the globe has come to the Racecourse Ground, as Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd are among celebrities who have attended matches recently. Now, Tatum, with hits like 21 Jump Street and Magic Mike, is the latest A-lister to join the ranks of famous visitors. On Friday evening, the Fat Boar pub in Wrexham posted a photo on social media showing Reynolds mingling with fans, joined by Tatum. The sight of the Hollywood duo left the crowd delighted. Tatum, sporting Wrexham gear, later shared his excitement on Instagram. "And just like that, I’m in Wales, about to see a Wrexham match! Let’s goooo," he exclaimed in his Instagram story. Dick Thomas Johnson from Tokyo, Japan, CC BY 2.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0, via Wikimedia Commons Reynolds didn't just stop by for a casual drink; he also treated everyone in the pub to a round. "I'm buying a round for everybody in here," he announced, as captured in a video shared by Wrexham.com. With humor, he added, "This might bring another hundred people in here as we speak, but that's fine." After spreading good vibes, Reynolds joked about his evening plans. "And then I'm going to, right now, get the f*** out and go to bed. I have four kids, and this is a day off where I get to just go to bed when I want to, which I'm very excited about," he said with his signature wit. The next day Tatum was spotted again cheering Wrexham's performance at the Racecourse Ground side by side with Reynolds as the local team played against Cambridge. The increasing number of worldwide stars attending Wrexham games is a living test to the meteoric success and cultural influence during this period under the leadership of Reynolds and McElhenney. For Wrexham fans, Friday night wasn't just about meeting Hollywood icons—it was a celebration of their club's transformation and the sense of community that has been reignited by its new owners. Raiders’ Resilience
Las Vegas showed determination, clawing back in the fourth quarter with a pair of touchdowns. “We fought hard, but it’s tough to leave Kansas City without the win,” said Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce. “There’s a lot to build on, but we’ve got to execute better in key moments.”
Mahomes and the “Inevitable” Chiefs
NFL fans and analysts praised Mahomes for his leadership and composure under pressure, dubbing the Chiefs “inevitable.” The reigning Super Bowl MVP passed for 312 yards and three touchdowns, further cementing his reputation as one of the league’s elite quarterbacks.
